Situated in the mountainous region of Northern Rwanda, Africa, it is estimated that 90% of the population live without indoor plumbing and in impoverished conditions. With no social safety net, survival is dependent upon growing one’s own food or working for $2/hour when work can be found.

An agrarian society with very little industry, husbands abandon wives and families in frustration, never to be seen again. Children, often viewed as economic burdens, are pushed to the street to be forgotten and fend for themselves.

We Trust in Him, through the grace of our Lord and donations of our valued partners, provide hope and physical assistance in the forms of safe housing, education, employment and life’s essentials – a hand up to the shunned and forgotten widows and orphans by shining the light of Jesus’ love into darkened hearts, encouraging abilities of self-sufficiency and a path to reintegration into society.

We Trust in Him is blessed to witness the transformative love of our heavenly father miraculously knitting together newly created families, made in the image of Jesus Christ, and spreading the message of hope of a renewed life to others.
